OUR MISSION
Through engagement, resource sharing, and action, the Minnesota Arts and Culture Coalition (MACC) aims to nurture the arts and culture ecosystem to better enable organizations to strengthen their work in Minnesota and their communities.
OUR WORK
In April 2020, Mary Ceruti, Museum Director of the Walker Art Center, reached out to neighboring institutions, museums, and organizations to create a support network around pandemic policies, economic and safety resources, and social support in a time of global uncertainty. As the network grew and organizations throughout Minnesota joined, there was a clear desire for cross-sector dialogue and collaboration. And as a result, a formal coalition was born. MACC continues to be a space for arts and cultural leaders to converse, share, connect, and discuss the work that is important to our missions and communities.

OUR HISTORY
Since 2020, MACC has hosted monthly coalition-wide meetings, inviting over 200 organizational leaders across the state to engage in conversations about the current sector trends, challenges, advocacy events, year-end fundraising, and more with expert guests, legislators, and diverse industry voices.
Our work includes monthly digital meetings, quarterly in-person gatherings, networking events and resources, Arts Advocacy Day activities, and more.
Minnesota Arts and Culture Coalition is a nonprofit fiscally-sponsored through the Science Museum of Minnesota.
